SMALL GROUPS
Opportunities | Training | FAQ
Small Groups are one of KingsWay's vital ministries. It is our hope that our small groups will meet the many needs of our members as well as visitors to KingsWay. Groups are designed for fellowship, deepening friendships, prayer, and a life-application look at scripture.

Small Group FAQ
- What goes on at a small group and how long is it?
- Each group differs, but a typical small group lasts about an hour or two. Small groups meet in local houses; some meet over dinner. At each meeting, there is a group discussion over a passage from the Bible, and usually will continue a theme from the previous Sunday's message. Then the members will pray for each other. The rest of the time is spent in "fellowship" — coffee, yummy dessert and getting to know each other.
- Where and when do small groups meet?
- KingsWay's small groups meet throughout the week at various times and locations. New groups form periodically.
- Do I have to be invited first before I can attend a small group?
- Absolutely not! All of our groups are open to anyone who would like to visit and "check them out." However, many small groups meet over dinner, so it would be a good idea to call first to let them know you are coming!
- Do I have to make a long-term commitment to a particular small group?
- No, you are free to visit as many groups as you like, and to attend a group for as long or short a period of time as you want. We do recommend, however, that you select a group and stick with it for a while. That will give you a chance to really get a feel for the group as well as to form meaningful relationships with others.
- Church and Christianity are both new to me. Should I wait until I become more familiar with the Bible before going to small group?
- Absolutely not! Small group involvement is the best way to grow in your knowledge and understanding of spiritual things. It's our desire that small groups will be a safe environment for people to grow and ask questions about faith and life!
- Can I bring my kids with me to the small group meeting?
- Some groups provide supervision for children, but its best to check in advance by calling the leader or host of the group you are interested in.
